On Saturday, December 10th, over 500 people attended the Arms of Hope-Outreach Ministry Character Bowl. Football teams and cheerleaders (aged 11-12) from inner-city Dallas, Houston and San Antonio were blessed with playing at beautiful Midlothian stadium. Donated chartered buses brought the children (many of whom have never had the treat of venturing from their neighborhoods), they were greeted by former NFL players (Devin Wymans-NE Patriots and Michael Downs-Dallas Cowboys), were led in prayer and devotional and then hit the field for an amazing day of football! The games were the conclusion of a great year where Arms of Hope sponsored these disadvantaged children by providing equipment and Christian guidance throughout the year. A special thanks to Starbucks, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Chick-fil-A, Midlothian ISD and all of the Arms of Hope donors whose generosity makes Outreach Ministry possible for these precious children.
