On October 6, 2011, 300 guests attended the annual Arms of Hope Reaching Generations Gala and Auction at the Hilton Americas-Houston. The audience was addressed by R.C. Slocum, Texas A&M’s former head football coach. The guests’ hearts were captured by the heartfelt stories shared by the Arms of Hope Residents. The Thomas K. Matthews Service Award was presented to Mike Calvert.
